Artificial Intelligence and the Gengo Acquisition

Artificial Intelligence and the Gengo Acquisition 600x400

Lionbridge recently announced its acquisition of Gengo. They are known as a technology company based out of Tokyo. Gengo services included machine learning and localization services. At the time of the acquisition, Lionbridge had stated that Gengo would strengthen their position in the content and machine learning areas of their business.

As part of the acquisition, Lionbridge took control of Gengo.ai, the company’s platform that provided AI training-data services. The platform positioning is as a fast and efficient crowdsourced network of highly specialized contributors.

Artificial Intelligence is becoming much more prevalent in helping companies to reach into new markets. Adding a growing number of talented people certainly can help too.

As machine learning capabilities continue to develop we expect to see much more activity in this area.
